One Mediator, based in San Diego’s North County,

Matthew W. Argue practicing in
Los Angeles, Orange and Riverside counties and beyond.
Focus areas include real estate, construction, insurance, class actions, and other emotional or difficult cases.
Mr. Argue has over 20 years of experience in construction disputes, mediation and arbitration, and has successfully mediated over 200 construction cases to settlement. He was the head of the construction litigation department for Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves and Savitch LLP, where he
represented both large developer defendants and plaintiffs in construction defect cases. Most notably, he represented the plaintiffs in AAS v. Superior Court which was appealed to the California Supreme Court and changed the recovery of damages in construction defect cases.
Mediation allows the parties to stop fighting and start focusing on the underlying interests (or real reason) for the dispute. Often mediation results in innovative solutions, which not only resolve the dispute but create opportunities for future relationships and new ideas that would not have happened outside of mediation.
